Giselle reminded me about the great sound track for the Big Easy, a movie with Dennis Quaid. I think he’s a luscious guy to gawk at on the big screen…and he’s a terrific actor too. If he wasn’t, I’d grow bored with the pretty face and want to view something else. In any case, I went hunting for some of those tunes on youtube because I remember really liking the music alot. Remember this one?
I stole this joke off Wickedeasy’s blog fair and square. *grins*
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip.
After a good meal and a bottle of wine they bunked down for the night and went to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his friend. “Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.”
Watson replied, “I see millions upon millions of stars.”
“So what does that tell you?” asked Sherlock.
Watson pondered for a minute. “Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?”
Holmes was silent for a minute and then spoke. “It tells me someone has stolen our tent!”

Shannee, feeling a little retro today? chuckle.
I always thought that Holmes was a real ass-hole the way he treated his best and most faithful friend, but when you look at his older brother, well!!!
Thanks for the strip.
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
Retro? I love that old music. Grew up listening to it. I don’t think there was ever a moment of my girlhood that a radio wasn’t playing in my house. Classic rock, folk music and jazz that my grandparents listened to, blues, soul, christian rock, country, classical, pop…you name it. I heard it…enough to sing along with nearly all of it and to grow bored with how many times the radio repeated the popular stuff. When I’d whine about it irritating me enough so my father or mother was irritated, they’d switch the station to something else to shut me up and the round would go again. Even at school I immersed myself in music, always joining the choir. I sang to myself for every and any reason. I was part of the choir at church at times. I learned to play the piano as a girl. Retro is normal I guess. Funny thing is, I can rarely stand to listen to the radio now. Drives me nuts because of the commercials and I”m too cheap to pay for commercial free satellite radio…so in the last 15 years, I tend to be behind the times about popular music. The good stuff usually finds its way to my door though, if only to shut me up on the older stuff cause I’m driving someone I love nuts playing over and over. LOL! Mmmm….I get really irritated with intellectual snobbery and arrogance too. If I’m going to loose my pms temper it is usually at such sorts of rudeness and meanness. Snoopy and the pumpkin patch is classic fun at Halloween. Gotta have it!! Its a gorgeous fall day. Perfect laundry day. Big hugs!!!
