Actually, Sugasm is a volunteer experience…the good part is when you are in the top four links on the list. An email is sent each week with the full list about 24 hours before the Sugasm list is published for everyone else. All participants on the list who can, vote on which three they think are the best submissions for that week. Those three are at the top of the list. Then Mr. Sugasm chooses an editor’s pick. I’ve yet to be chosen by my peers for my writing. When I look at some of the submissions that get into the top four links, I realize that, while my writing is quite good, I still have some work to do in improving it enough to get into that top four list.
On the other hand, one of my posts was chosen for the Sexoteric blog. That blog is one that highlights blogs with good and interesting materials in a quiet manner. The post that was chosen was for my Mood post. It appeared on Sexoteric on April 2nd. As a result, that post is one of the top three most viewed posts on my blog. It has received nearly 600 hits since it was first posted, nearly all of which have happened as a result of Sexoteric linking to it. I am more proud of the listing from Sexoteric because it was utterly unsolicited and was a piece of writing that I missed the deadline for submission to Sugasm. I had been disappointed by that fact because I had hoped it was good enough to get some recognition from my peers. Well it did in a round about way. That feels good. *smiles*
